Happy birthday Alastair! Tomorrow will be my husband’s birthday. Several weeks ago we picked up many pecans on the ground, so I’ll try to make a pecan pie for him – I have not made one before. On my current post I show a picture of my three grandsons (my daughter told me it was OK with her.) Here is the link: http://avagabonde.blogspot.com/ . The 5 years old is growing so fast. This is his second year of learning Chinese (Mandarin) including writing in Chinese. He is also learning Spanish and I try to speak in French when I see him. The 3 years old is also taking Chinese. My daughter who is a neurologist said that languages must be introduced before 6 or 7 years old – I don’t quite remember the age – as that part of the brain then closes and it is not the same later on. I had bought some clothes at Christmas for the baby (5 months old) and she said to cut the feet of the one piece outfit as after 5 months they should not be constantly in one piece clothing so that their feet develop better. Well – it is not easy to know all this…. I don’t have a neurology degree!
