It is now nearing the end of October. Here is a round-up of various activities since my last post a month ago.
Tannock Loch, Milngavie
Ishbel making pumpkin pie. This was for Thanksgiving dinner (Canadian date) the following Sunday.
The Time Ball in Edinburgh taken on a quick trip through by train.
Buchanan Street Glasgow. That is a metal strucutre with carving knives secured all around the shape. Why? A bystander told me that a street entertainer jumps (?).... is cannonballed (?) .....through it.
View of St Joseph's Catholic Church at the British Rail car park. It was flu and COVID jag day with a lot of people heading to Milngavie Town Hall with cars parked everywhere.
Balloch House (Inn) on the Leven at Balloch. An unexpected visit at lunchtime. It is where (among other occasions over the years) I visited in August with Wendy MacLeod when she was visiting from Australia.
The view from the hotel. Day trip boats that ply Loch Lomond giving its (very interesting!) history.
A make-over since August... very cosy and ....
no plastic flowers!
