I made strawberry jam today. Using Iain's mother's jam pan I bottled 10 pounds of berries that I picked yesterday. The berries are really good this year due to the good weather - ripe and juicy!
This is an arty representation!
After I finished our little group of neighbours all sat out in the garden and tucked into the scones that I made earlier in the day. The jam was perfect, absolutely the business! (Last year I was a bit heavy on the pectin.)

Your strawberry jam looks delicious. I made some cherry jam last week and last Monday I made rhubarb plum jam. I am waiting for my figs to ripen, but the tree is loaded, so there will be enough jam to give to all the family and friends at Christmas. But your post gave me the idea to make a post about my fig jam. I would love to exchange jams with you, but we are too far away.
That cookery book is just the kind I like! And the strawberry jam looks more-ish, too. Pity I missed the scones...
