Milngavie Music Club's 2025-2026 season has started. Our first concert was 2 weeks ago with Roderick Williams being the guest artiste along with the Carducci String Quartet.
We are so privileged to have such high calibre musicians! It was a fabulous 'sold out' concert with everyone departing quite 'uplifted'. I was struck by his stage presence. The only other time I have felt such a thing was many years ago when I saw Deborah Kerr in a live production in London's West End. She entered Stage Left... and you just knew she had arrived... and she hadn't even spoken yet! I often wonder: is this something you just have, or can it be cultivated?
Last week I was out at Ross Priory on Loch Lomond for a fund-raising event. Arriving early I walked around the garden and made an attempt to take photos where there were shadows. Here is my selection.
The next thing to think about is: what works; what doesn't.
