School is out today for the Easter holidays! Today is Thursday and my day for having the children after school. So we made a bit of a fun afternoon with a hunt for Easter eggs in the garden.
Two heads are better than one.
Ishie has changed after school from her white blouse and grey skirt and sweater. Alastair is still in his school uniform.
There was snow on the ground this morning but it had all gone in the warm sunshine which came out for an hour this afternoon. The daffodils in the garden behind them are up but no blooms yet.

Reading some of your past posts – you were married in 1967? We were as well, in June 1967 – we spent our honeymoon in Monterey, Calif., at the famous festival where Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix performed. I had never heard of the Simnel cake – it does look delicious. It is baked for Mother’s Day in the UK? Here in the US Mother’s Day is the 2nd Sunday of May and in France it is the last Sunday of May. Your grandchildren have grown since I started looking at your blog (before I started mine in 2009.) My daughter who has the 3 boys, 6, 4 and 2 is expecting a baby girl in May. We are quite happy. I hope they can decide on a name as last time the babies were 3 weeks old before they were named!
