This is Rosalind and she was painted by Robert Walker MacBeth (Scottish 19th - early 20th century painter) here.Rosalind is 100 years too early to see in front of her, the frigates, minesweepers and submarines at the head of the Holy Loch where she is sitting (i.e. the burn at Garelochhead looking out to sea).
Maybe she has received a letter from an off-duty submariner. (Come to think of it, it would more likely be a text message!)

I clicked on Robert Walker MacBeth and was surprised to see Rosalind there. Do you mean that with Photoshop you can cut out someone and place them in another photograph? that is new to me.
