A GOOD YEAR FOR THE ROSES

We continue to enjoy a spell of hot sunny weather.  This means it's been a good year for the roses.  Also, apparently, it is a good year for the fruit being grown in the south of England. That will mean sweet, juicy apples instead of what we get here - small, never ripening enough and certainly not sweet.

Roses in the garden.  My green fingered next door neighbours continue to enjoy them as well as they are in a position in my garden such that they can be seen from their back door step.

A small bouquet of flowers from the garden added to which is a cala lily, the last from a bouquet that Mairi gave me about 3 weeks ago.
