PATTERNS AND A PUZZLE

Patterns are all in the eye of the beholder. The top one is from outer space, the next one, the naked eye and the last magnified.

This is a photo taken (from a satellite?) of green fields in Kansas. I think it is wonderful!

I took this photo on the edge of the CPR railway which I cross every day to go 'downtown'. These are green elderberries growing in through the railway fence.

Last night I heard a very good report on the CBC about the worrying phenomenon of honey bees dying in great numbers. It is described as Colony Collapse Disorder. Nobody really knows why. It appears that their immune systems are compromised. It could be nutritional problems, a virus or the varroa mite, chemical pesticides, or stress on due to long periods being transported to other locations. Cell phones have also been suggested. As pollinators in nature there is a great worry that crops and other vegetation, flowers will be affected.
