JEWELS AFTER THE RAIN

Lashing rain gave way to sunny spells with showers. Time to get out and smell the flowers! Glenarn Garden at Rhu was dripping after the days and days of rain. But hidden in the rock garden area were these early July blooms.

Tall stalks of lilies like this one: Lilium martagon

An orchid. This is a very large flower on a tall stalk and appears to be like the wild orchids you see on the moors only 100 times bigger.

I don't know what these are ... Aqulegia? ... very unusual to see this blue colour in flowers.

A solitary rhododendron
